Re: Importing parts from UK
GST is paid on total cost, including freight. There is also a flat rate Customs fee to pay, usually about $42-$50 Most items don't incur duty these days but some parts do ........... When you pay for items on credit card with overseas currency you also incur a 2.5% currency fee charged to credit car...

Re: Anybody replaced rear seats in a Surf?
Haven't done it myself but I would expect that you can unclip or remove the carpet without cutting.
Either the carpet will come off the back of the seat or remove from rear floor.
It will also depend on what your replacement seats come with as well.

Re: Sway bar.
Thanks mr pete. Might have to get dad to ring a few wof places and see. Since I work on a dam in the middle of nowhere currently, it becomes a bit hard to contact people. Jeeps don't handle too well on the road without the sway bar. However if you want a wof, don't ask around, just take it in somew...

Hi Land Rover people. My Land rover 110 HCP (with Nissan LD28 diesel) succumbed to chassis rust, and was sold for parts last year. I replaced it with a Toyota Surf, which is proving very practical, but I can't help thinking I would like to buy another Landy in the next couple of years, as a long te...

They tried the rally trucks a few years back down at the Whakatane event. None of the rally trucks could keep up and not many survived the weekend, as they are built too light for winch challenge type comps.

Deciding to put a set of STT's on my Challenger, currently looking at either a set of 305/70/16 or 285/75/16. My question is, is it better to go as wide as you can fit or am I better off pocketing the difference and save the cash? Any thoughts would be appreciated. If you did some research you will...

Re: what have i done? srs light stays on
The light is on due to a fault, possibly because you disturbed the circuit when the key was on. Because SRS is a major safety issue, they usually stay on permanently until checked out and reset. You will need a computer to reset.
SRS light on is a WoF failure.

Do the hooks have any numbers on them? Most aftermarket tow hooks will have a max pull rating on them and will bend open when this is exceeded, some hooks will just break off which is obviously not good. Take a closer look. Those hooks do have the load rating stamped on them. More importantly is to...
