4 inchs in the rear with 1.5 inchs in the front (assuming you still have torsions) :?
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level then beat you with experiance!

What rangimotors is saying is, you cant get anymore lift that 1.5inches from your current front end... Do a site search and all will be revealed.

there arent any kits mate, it has to be frabricated, spring mounts, arms, panard etc, the arms all need to at the right angles and the right proportional length and in the right planes, theres quite a bit that goes into it and the rear is the easy end :D

As you said in your first post, you are new to this so, ...
Why do you want to lift it that much?
You say you want to fit big muddies, how big?
I fitted 33 inch tyres to my old 1988 Surf with only 50mm spring lift and 50mm bodylift
Why change the rear from leaf to coil?
What are you intending to use the vehicle for after its lifted?
Would a different vehicle (one with a solid axle and leaf/coil sprung front end) be more suitable?

If its for looks forget about springs and do a body lift, still requires cert though.
An old IFS Surf is a good cheap 4wd, good to learn in but you can only mod them so far. They do break if you try to go too hard/far in them.

you might not have had much experience in fabbin stuffs dude but what about drivin your current rig, offroad, as is? if its a 'nay', i suggest you spend a decent amount of seat time and learn about performance characteristics and go from there.. friend of mine has an ifs surf and goes some decent places, just with a little lift and 33's.... still handles mint onroad etc..

dont throw money at it half informed dude.. it'll hurt ya pocket and possibly not get ya any better off...

p.s, dont be afraid to use full words and not text speak.. its a forum pet peeve for some.

just noticed ya 2" lift comment, yeah dude, do that and possibly mods guards slightly too.... :D

You can fit 33s relatively cheaply, but you'll start breaking CVs, bending steering idlers and running out of power, Wheel travel becomes more limited if you wind up the torsion bars. You can fit an auto locker to help redude stress on the front driveline but there is only so much you can expect out of an IFS 2.4 diesel surf.
I had a ball with my IFS surf, it went a lot of places I didn't think it would but I think you need to know a vehicles capabilities/limits,
After ripping the steering box out of the chassis in my 88 IFS Surf I got hold of an 84 Solid axle Surf, same body shape as yours, modded the suspension, modded the steering, threw 35s on it, ... bigger motor...
I now have 1990 toyota Prado, Coils all round, 3 inch lift, 33s, locker....etc
My 84 Surf is more capable, but I have never got it finished and certed, shame really

Body lift.
Lifts the body up off the chassis, does nothing to the suspension
Used in conjunction with a small suspension lift you can fit 33s.

Get 2 inch raised springs, or resets, wind front torsion bars up, bingo 2 inch lift all round, fit 33's, trim guards, drive.

IFS one had 50mm bodylift and new rear springs, front torsion bars wound up. And shocks to suit the lift.
I have a mate with the exact same things done to same model surf, if you want to see what to do. He has used longer spring shackles to lift the rear rather than new springs
