Hi All,
I'm looking at replacing the rotors and pads on my 2012 Wrangler JK. The problem seems to be that export spec Rubicons have HD brakes (i.e. front rotor is 332mm vs normal rotor being 302mm). Rear rotors are the same across US and export spec (i.e. 316mm). Even more oddly, brake pads are the same for normal vs HD brakes. Just the rotors and caliper adapters are different in the front.
I have checked with SCA, Repco, Race Brakes, EBC and BNT but nobody seems to carry these locally here in NZ. Looking at some websites in US and Australia, they are not available other than from Mopar or Crown Automotive (a cheaper, mass produced option). I want to retain my decent braking on a Jeep for a change.
I have found part numbers on DBA catalogue being DBA2630 for front and DBA2537 for rear. BNT can't seem to find them available with their supplier. Any ideas? I'm happy to import them, have done that for a lot of TJ things in the past. But very surprised that Jeep dealer is the only option (really, dealer prices?? - No). Any brake parts suppliers here who are up for a challenge? I really do not want to pay dealership prices for rotors.
Cheers

Did you mean New Zealand Brake Company? At Te Tai Place, Henderson. I couldn't find Auckland Brake Company.

Just spoke to Mark at NZ Brake Company, no luck. Dodge Nitro uses a near identical rotor, but rotor height is off by 20mm.
BNT came back (third shop), no luck finding the front ones.
I am about to send an email directly to DBA in Australia. They list it in their parts catalogue, but its not available! How strange is that.

just import direct out of the states dude, will cost half the cost of buying them here. Failing that try ( dare i say it ) Eugene at Exedy north shore, ive brought some hard to find parts through him every now and then.

As I said in my original post, these rotors are not on US spec JKs. These brakes are upgraded for the Aust/NZ and European markets on certain models. Not available from aftermarket suppliers in US. Dealer supplied part in US, only if VIN says its an export model.

$147.20 from NZ automotive distributors.
28 Moselle Ave, Henderson
from memory they are very similar to the late 80's to mid 90's 2wd hilux's.

Not for a 2012 Wrangler with HD brakes from the factory. The ones I have are 332mm in the front. The ones they list are 302mm - which are normal brakes here as well as US spec.
The ones you are referring to are for a TJ....

then you want the 07-09 brake rotors as they were 332mm standard on all wranglers world wide.

Introduced in 2010, but not on all export markets. I believe it was 2012 when the engine change to 209kW came about is when bigger rotors became standard in export markets.
BTW US new is still smaller rotor. I have emailed DBA directly, they list a part number but all suppliers I have called don't carry the one I am looking for.
