WTB: D21 auto hub - Navara / Terrano

Postby Damz » Mon Jan 05, 2015 9:41 pm

Bought another Navara yesterday, tried out 4x4 down at the river today, no good! Luckily, I was only reversing on grass when I noticed, instead of having mud up to the windows and only the back wheels lit up!!

Got home, put it on axle stands, put it in gear, 4x4, and let the clutch out. YAY, front driveshaft's spinning! As is the drivers side axle, but not the left hand side axle. I put this down to a buggered diff, sound right?? No rattly noises or anything, just not moving at all.

Anyway, ute has a NA20S engine, CA48 on the VIN plate. From memory the code CA48 is the same as my old 2.7t diesel navara so that shouldn't matter. Also from memory, the front diffs on terranos and navaras are the same, is that right?

What ya got? I'm in Wanganui but can organise good freight prices from anywhere in NZ, or if close, Ill come for a tiki tour

did you try stopping the drivers front wheel to see if the load would shift to the left side sometimes only one wheel will spin at a time

Try what snatch said first. If it is still not turning that wheel, you'd have a snapped axle not a wrecked diff.
