Runva winches still the go?

Postby Petemcc » Mon Mar 14, 2016 8:35 pm

I have a mate looking for a winch. I have a runva one and am pretty happy with it but have heard a few people have gone away from them. What else is worth considering for similar money?

Cheers,
Pete

Novawin, talk to Phil Clark @ Force 4. His after market service is great, try getting hold of the Runva guy if you have a problem, Yea right!

I am very happy with my Runva, i have the comp "evo" one and recently put that through a winch comp. lots of heavy winching and i kept pulling and pulling all day. in saying that I have also had extremely good service from phill at force 4 and have heard very good thongs about his winches. What vehicle will it be going on? the novawin 11800 would be great for safaris and cruisers and the 9500 runvas would be great on surfs, teranos, etc

I have the 9500 evo comp winch. Went awesomely when I got it about one year ago.
Had the motor rebuilt already under warranty as there was a major seal missing between the motor and the drum housing, drum has rusted up badly and the brake is now frozen on.
Waiting to hear back from Winch.co.nz at the moment.

Give Phil a call http://www.force4.co.nz/. Might pay to wait a couple of days, think he's in Aussie

I have a runva and it goes well. Was a hassle to buy. Not a fan of winch.co.nz
