Want to buy 80 series rear upper control arm

A stock unit please, can fit new bushes of course, I've broken mine somehow. Anyone had any success welding them? Rod Broke off right at the top bush. Left side if theyre different, Thanks

i may have a couple .will have a look when im next at my lockup

If yours is an older 80 I think the upper arms on 1993+ 80 series are stronger, Edit: no they aren't :oops: the lower ones are definitely bigger on the newer models. They should weld back together no problem though.

Thanks Clint, I've dropped the bits to an engineer's this morning and he's confident he can get a good weld on it without burning the bush even. Mine's a '94 but its an Aussie model with the barn doors and part time 4wd, FW hubs etc. so may be different to the average VX we get here. The top arms are 400mm centre to centre and the bottoms much longer. Hopefully the weld will take and no more problems. cheers, and thanks, Gordon

Edit: I was wrong about the later upper arms being beefier - they are the same. The lower arms on the 93+ 80 series definitely are stronger though. Good luck with the fix.
