no pics yet :roll:

ripped the non working heater box out today. mite make some fancy centre console like the ones on pirate haha

but i have convinced my boss to clear a space in the workshop for the shitter to do the coils 8)

would love to make a start on it now but havin the welly crew up this weekend i want it to be running for them to go for a skid

and 2 weeks after that is a m4wdc run into the gordon kea forrest and i dont want to rush the coil conversion

more to follow soon

Dropped the power steering pump into Badnuz yesterday on way to work for Pete to pick up after work.
92 swb Pajero ute. 3 litre V6 manual. 33" Mud wranglers, Diff breathers, Snorkle, 9500lbs electric winch, Rear diff lock, CB & PRS radio's.

ordered some rod ends and hollow bar today to make steering tie rods and radius arms

will get pics up of them after work

gonna wrap the stock fj40 steering arms with some flat to strengthen them along with the falcon pitman arm

little update

still no pics yet :roll:

threaded the 32mm hollow bar to take the heim joints last nite so far so good

will wrap the 40 steering arms tomorrow after work and drill/ream them to take a 20mm bolt or cap screw not sure what i will use yet

still need to replace the diff locater on the rear leaf

well just gotten home from work

installed pitman arm on the steering box still needs a spacer made up so it doesnt foul on the rod end

but when reinstalling the steering arm the king pin bearing decided to fall to bits haha oh well better now than on the track

stripped both knuckles tonite and the wheel bearing fell to bits while cleaning so looks like i will be doing those too now :roll: :lol:

Hey good work there pete. nice to see pix of the progress.
What CV's are you going to run? Before I brought my 40 the previous owner had the housings modified to take larger 70 series CV's. It's a tight fit but it's nice to know they're stronger than stock. :wink:

im just going to run with the 6 spline 40 cvs for the mo as i managed to get a couple of spares :D

but in 2 weeks the m4wdc are going into the gordon kea forrest and after that it will be getting a coil make over 8) :wink:

from experience, make sure you clean all the grease out and dont miss any rollers :oops: they tend to make a mess of ya wheel bearings :roll:

well jeez

the bearing fit out of the front end has cost me 600 :roll:

both front wheel bearings
top and bottom king pin bearings for both sides

at least i now know the front is not going to fall to bits :lol:

going to get the tie rod and drag link powder coated in some very bright colour :lol:

I have a coupla spare coarse spline 40 cv's here if you want em (if thats what you run). I cant find anyone to give them too
