well. funny you bring that up actualy haha i was going to say something tonight.

i dont have any photos at the moment because im not sure where the camera is so i will put photos up over the weekend if im not going out for a play.

so now ive got all the intercooler piping made, the exhuast, heater lines, radiator lines, started turbo oil lines etc, heaps of shit really, so tonight ive put one manifold on for good all nice and tight and started the other one but decided to leave it for tomorow so i can do my study.

when the turbos and exhaust it bolted on i have to...

finish turbo oil lines
vaccum lines
powersteering lines
aircon lines
drive shafts
mount other gauges
auto shifter
wheel alignment
fill up oils and water and stuff
change auto oil filter
then take to autosparky and last of all off to the dyno guy

thats all that i can remember off the top of my head anyways, but im pretty sure thats it, so it shouldnt be too much longer :) photos will be up soon

:D it left home today to get a few things done

*mount autoshifter and make up the shifter rod
*mount transfercase lever
*change driveshafts- make rear longer, shorten front and put smaller UJ on it to clear the auto sump
*mount the auto temp sensor and while the sump is off change the filter in it

so it should be back in a few days and then il assemble it all then off to auto sparkey ;)

I remember the first time my LS1 in my FJ40 was licked into life. It only ran for a few seconds at a time to. Turned out to be a wiring loom issue.
Was SO frustrating!
Hope you're not going through the same issues.

All the electrical issues were sorted out after spending a few hundy at an Auto sparky. Should of been done right from the "get go".

Thanks for pointing that out Reece.
I blame my oversize fingers for that typo with the "L" key being right next to the "K" key.
I'm sure some people would like to eat off their motor and maybe lick the plate. But not many would lick it into life.

Mines good Euan, It goes on all it's cylinders now :o .
Things are just a little busy at work at the mo, and I think that will only get worse (or better, depending on how you look at it  ), so I am working on it nights now when I get the chance. Just finished shortening the engine loom on one side, and I want to get my trans adaptor checked for true, so transfer is out at the mo as well.

But where's your's Mitch? this is your thread after all

Its at the dyno place, I know that much

dyno man expects to get at the least 650hp

last I heard he was waiting on a bolt or nut or something small and then it was dyno run time

that was last thursday, so may even be home by now

only Mitch will know :?: :?:

well... yes it has been a while but every time i though about updating this i put it off and i have decided to put the rest of the pics and all that up once it is completly finished so i only have to piss around uploading pics one time.

so it turns out the running for 3 secconds and then off was actually the security stuff but it just took a while to register that it wasnt aloud to run, so the codes have been sorted and now it runs. the next problem was that the BOV was too small which i kind of thought it maybe, it was the same size as what a mate of mine runs on his very tricked up subaru sti so i though i may get away with it but obviously not, so now we have gone to the big tial 50mm BOV to stop the crazy as compressor surge it was getting after a big rev, we have been waiting for a few weeks now for a light weight spring for the BOV to come in from tial in the states but that should be here now as it arrived to NZ on monday i got told. While he has been waiting for the spring he upgraded the injectors, has checked intake manifold for any leaks, installed a turbo timer and a boost controller, originally i never had any boost controller because i was only going to run 7psi of boost into it so i was just relying on the wastegates springs which are 7.2psi to do that, but since it has been up there troy has persuaded me to run as much boost it will take before detonation and then wind it back a little for saftey so it should be around 12-14psi haha umm and yea, cant think of anything else at the moment, il be going up to play with it on the dyno next week hopefully

well i thought it should say something cause its been a while haha i havnt done anything on here because nothing has really happened to it lately, it went to the dyno guy ages ago but hes taking ages, its runs now and drives in and out of the workshop but there have been little problems like the BOV issue and now its a boost control issue, so im going up to see him on monday and give him a deadline of it being picked up finished or not and if not it will be going else where. but it made 300hp at the wheels at 2000rpm with a bad tune :) so it should be good.
