Re: first surf build.
Nice work, your working in a tight space there.
What size city do you think you could power with those all those batteries?
On a more serious note, what's the plan for the winch setup with all those batteries?

actully, nothing spectacular. going to get a runva ewx9500 evo. They are high output, (900 cca each) but die quickly. In reality two would probably be heaps but biggers always better?

Re: first surf build.
whipped the rear diff out to weld all the brackets on fully, and thought that difflock actuator looked bit vunerably and came up with this abortion of protection...itll do untill i make something more er streamline.does unbolt for acsses if required.
difflock looks to be like new!
just gota swap in a set of 4.6's now and can go back on.doing axle seals and brakes up wjile im at it...

You could sell that diff protector as art after you fit the new one!
Keep up the good work.

Re: first surf build.
doesnt look quite as bad back underneath,
rebuilt front diff, new bearings etc, strengethened my balls
fitted turbo oil returns
and started to modify a midsump pan for a bit extra capacity
anyone know of any good paint or sealer type stuff to spray the sump in? cause nodoubt there will be leaks!

Re: first surf build.
You can get an epoxy sealer for fuel tanks, for sealing up pin holes in rusty tanks.
Re: first surf build.
well plugged laptop in and had a fiddle today...first attempt didnt start, timeing 180 out, swapped onto opposite cam signal and....
will work out how to adjust sync pulse on link and will be sorted..runnig on base settings, suspected quite lean at the moment and unsure what timeing is doing but bloody hell its good to hear it go again

Cool.. wut ecu you running? as I have bobs map and mine here so might be a good start for timing at least.. then just tune injectors..But bloody coolies
Re: first surf build.
g4 extreme, but..running sequential ingnition so most base maps are off. going to get a couple of widebands and once i get some exhasut on there will get a bit more involved in getting something of a tune on it

Re: first surf build.
made up heater hose, mainly from ss pipe, and filled up with water.
Attempted to start tunning to get to idle lower(idles about 1500-2000rpm...) except gets up to temperatrure before I could work out what I was doing. Need to get a powersteer line made so can put a belt to drive my fan pump..
