Your best modification....

Postby 4wdnuts » Wed Oct 11, 2006 6:55 pm

Whats the single best mod yourve done to your truck?

mine might sound a bit strange but it would have to be putting surf seats in my hilux. they would have to be 10 million times more comfortable than the standard buggars!!

8) Dual gearboxes  still trying to shorten the two boxes up... then sort the custom shifters

heres a shot of them sitting in there so I could check rear driveshaft angle etc  about the time I realised it was going to be alot harder than just making an adpter plate

In order of importance on the surfboard.
1, Tyres
2, dual transfer cases,
3, lockers, both ends.
4, Longfield axles and cv's
5, Coil conversion
Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!

Back seat ?? its a single cab the yellow one in my avitar
na gona sort it so the original trans lever changes box 2 and it will be set up with a couple of side levers from the trans (using push pull levers) that work 2-4WD and Hi-Low  she is gona be trick when its all finished .... also building jigs so I can mod new boxes when I kill these ones
Oh and becouse I've moved the motor as far forward as I can (radiators going in the back  ) means my shifter is gona be about 2" further forward than normal 8)

  I love SH's "Chev"
