Nice work, you modeling this in animation to check clearance on your suspension ? (something I've got to learn lol) or are you just going to work on full bump... oh and where are you getting the library parts from I've got a couple of free libraries but they are all about mini buggy stuff not full sized lol

Hi Reece,
Everything will be modelled as per real life, ie life sized, and clearances all checked before cutting steel. Assemblies like rod ends or shocks etc will have the correct movements built in, so all collisions can be checked. Its not animation as such, each part is "mated" to its neighbour, so if you grab a wheel for example, It will rotate or move up and down if the rod end and shock assembly will allow it. Each and every part will be modelled with the correct material so the weight and CoG will be right. Pretty cool shit. There's a really cool thread on both RDC and OFN by the guy that designed and built 3 Trophy trucks at the same time for the Herbst brothers, everything designed in SW and fully modelled and checked, fawkin cool stuff.. beware though, it's a long thread and it will suck you in and you can waste hours reading it lol

http://www.mcmaster.com/ for generic stuff, and http://www.grabcad.com/ has some more specific things - though it is a bit hit and miss
