You've got some pritty serious mod's going on with this motor. Have you got other plans ahead for this truck? hehe. like Taupo 1000 or sneak a bit of offroad racing in as well as winch challenges. its guna have some serious grunt. i'll tell holmes your guna enter taupo to stir him up.
Guna be a bit exciting to see it up an running i bet.
Good work keep the pics coming.

I just got them profile cut out Terapa at Collins profile cutting in sunshine ave, they were $20 ea.
I just traced around the old gaskets and flanges then made the holes the right sizes for the bends i was using.

Hahahaha, yeah wind Holmes up, shouldnt take much

Still just going to be a winch truck, no plans to go off road racing.
What was just gonna gonna be a ignition upgrade is spiraling out of control.............
Gonna end up with a bottom end that will take a 1000 hp the way its going

Really just need a bit of extra grunt for our club fun rallys, gettin hard to compete with vitaras running sr20dets and the like.........

Old verses new..........

Inside the factory ports...... Rubbish

Image

Image

Had to put the bare block back in the truck and bolt on the heads to check clearances, and as a complete surprise it actually missed the steering shaft......... :D :D

Image

Image

Passenger side had nothing to miss but though id better check......

So now i just need to weld them up fully and then recheck them in the engine bay after welding them up, one more thing off the list :D

Looking at ya headers ya made.. top effort but why didnt ya just reem out the innners on the factory ones to make them breath easier.. from the pictures.. the pipe size looks almost the same..? Seems a lot of effort for what I would see as little gain.. for the hassle.. gawd what a mouthful.. I've looked at the same but going to reem mine when the time comes.. less everything.. but keep up the great work.. cant wait till seeing it all going agaain with the new toy strapped on..

Photos are a bit deceptive on the sizing, old ones were struggling to make 30mm id, new ones are 41mm, i think they should make a bit of difference. In saying that, i never had any issues gettin it to rev before...

Why didn't you make some Extractors? When I used to hot V8s up thats what we did. I know it is more work but they go better.

Hahaha nah, more like freeing up some funds to finish what I'm doing. 1uzfe would be one of the more expensive motors to rebuild at the moment....... :?

Did that about 3 years ago, changed to a smaller, more common(free) camry alternator, only 70amps, but doesn't have a hernier when it's under the water.

Can you tell me the diameter and depth of the alt? also any idea what camry its off? I'm basically copying your every move so I can be as cool as you. (that and there is no way my alt fits in the gap I have)
