SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH PMs ON THE WHOLE

was busy writing a reply to a post, (long reply)

finish it and click on submit

up pops the page to tell me theres a new PM

and away goes the long post I just typed up

gone and not submitted

lost

waste of time writing it

has happened a few times and also have had the same issue Sadam mentioned above

randomly takes you somewhere completely different

also just noticed that when you go out to front page and click on the who is online thingy, it lists everyone as being on the index page, instead of which thread they are reading or replying to etc etc

When creating a long post, do it in your favourite word processor, and copy n paste to the forum when ready. That way, even IF the random post loser strikes, you will STILL have the original post draft.

the back button takes you back to the post before you started typing

so thats no good

have now taken to copying each post I write as its happened to me 4 fukn times tonight and its not fukn funny anymore

also finding the site going haywire too

click on a button, like a PM button and it takes you to the nissan thread, or hit another button and end up in somebody elses PMs or even just hitting the back button on the browser and instead of going back a page it will take me all the back to the board index.

I just got through writing a message to say I've had no problems at all with jumping to other posts etc, until I went to submit that message and it took me to the weekend thread all ready to quote the last post in it

Yeah, i've had a bit of that too

Also, whats with the Photo posting these days??

I have been trying to post a few pic's from photo bucket. First up, i get a message saying that the photo's are to big (must not be wider than 640 pixles), so i delete all the pic's i just uploaded and select a preset size in the upload options on photobucket (640x480) as its easier than going through and editing each photo individually on that site, and upload that whole lot again.

Should be sweet eh??

I checked in the properties of the pic's once loaded to P.Bucket, and it confirmed that they were at 640X480.

Still get the same error message about not being wider than 640 pixles.

So i need to make them 639 pixles wide or something??

Did it to me a few minutes ago, pushed "view new posts" link, and was fired to the page in the pic below. The address in the bar is right, but whats being displayed is not reflecting that. Size limit on pics is

still seem to have pic posting issues

I have no probs posting pics from photobucket

but if I try to attach an image from another site, even the ORE photo gallery site, it takes forever to upload and then comes up with the cannot determine dimensions of image problem

other than that, nothing else has happened yet, that used to happen

it used to take forever to log on from someone elses computer, so I will try that out tomorrow

good work mike

i have a feeling it maybe a caching issue going off what jafa has said.

it seems that he has picked up on someone elses cached page. will have a look into making changes in that area. nice spotting jafa  i know you all have had similar happenings but the fact that a word is highlighted as if it was searched is a huge indicator to me  Remember i put the turbo on, this could be a side effect of it

When appying for membership, the online banking option has changed to cash on delivery so tried the credit card option and went through to the credit card website but that wouldn't work either. said something about incorrect parameter or something.

Hi Mike I have a newbie problem i've had 2 goes at putting together a description and adding the 3 photos in the "my account" area, when i push the save part it seems to save it but when i come back to it after turning computer off it's all gone, i dunno if it's me and my computer or the site but i decided to drop you a line in case it's something at your end

Thanks for your efforts this is a terrific website not least because the site and virtually all the advice and info on it is given, made for and is usable by kiwis on their kiwi machines cheers x 10,000

your post is definitely there, as you add a photo make sure you click the upload button around the same area as the browse button. then do the next and then final one. then click the save button. yours is first in the list at the moment, just not with any photos.

Thanks Mike cheers for that, the full one disappeared the other day photos and all, I obviously messed that 1 up, thought i'd done it again tonight but if u can see it then that's got to be good. I hadn't got to putting any photos up on it cos i was being ultra careful and trying to save every step - must've paid off cos when i wanted some pics, right on cue my computer locked me out of my own photos somehow >:-< .

All should be in order now by the looks; this is wot happens when someone gives a railways welder a computer - his attempts sometimes end up about as useful as a pile of bird droppings !

Thanks again Mike for the heads up on my wee issue there, cheers

Another wee glitch Mike, it seems in options/profile/edit signature, that "adding a URL " is missing. I had "snr4x4.co.nz" as a URL, but as soon as I edited the sig, it threw an error that read "You cannot use certain BBCodes: [url]. "
