hi guys can someone help me????
I have a double cab 4wd and am looking at shortening the deck, am I allowed to shorten the chassis at all if so how close to the rear leafs am I allowed to go and does it need certified to any of this????
any info would be greatly appreciated

i did mine nice and tidy and had no issues think i cut off about 75mm was close to the spring hangers.

As long as it's bolted on and covers the wheels you can do as you please.

That goes for the deck but are you sure about the chassis shortening Tom? I haven't looked into it but would have thought you would need a cert if trimming the chassis?

Too early, didn't read that very well I think you'd probably be alright but probably best to check with a certifier.

I would get the lvvta cert chap in before you start cutting the chassis otherwise you may end up with a very expensive double cab bush truck

i just cut mine down, wof man told me it was fine as long as ya dont modify mounts and whatnot, id be interested to know what a certy says

I would look at where the chassis ends first, if you shorten the deck to the chassis its still really short. The pick added is a deck cut to the length of the chassis.
