A couple of questions...
I'm looking to buy an early/mid 90's Defender when I move back to NZ in the next 12 months or so - all I can seem to find advertized are 2000+ models for 45k or more; I'm looking for a 110 diesel (3 kids) I can set up for on/off road work so don't want (can't afford) a "creme puff" - any pointers would be appreciated
Second question - I currently have a 2001 P38A I want to bring with me from the US - I've read a coupleof threads on importing - anybody have any specific hints re RR?
cheers
looking to buy"early" defender
There's not many around try here:

I wouldn't bother bringing in a p38a especially if its a left hand drive they are getting pretty cheap here now and a lefthooker will have no resale value at all.

lowbox:
thanks for the links - I'll definitely keep an eye on them...
RE: the p38a, I totally agree with you about the resale value, my reasoning was that I've owned it just over a year and it has been reasonably trouble free - if it stays that way it may be a "keeper" and I can get another 10 years+ out of it and even start using that off road too - whereas buying an older one with no real history can be a bit of a handfull - I'd rather keep it simple - may even have to think about a Series!
