3.8 Holden V6 in series 3

Postby Bayou » Sat Mar 11, 2006 6:18 pm

I know older Holden straight sixes work well in landies. I was wondering if it would be possible/practical/sane to drop a 3.8 V6 in there. I figure it should still be lighter than a 3.5 v8....

Ideally I'd like to mate it up to defender gearbox & diffs - but only after the originals break!

Appreciate your thoughts.

There was a 3.8v6 in a Series Land Rover in Hamilton a while ago for sale, so it's possible (anythings possible/practical/sane)
You'll have to use adators tho from a good trans to transfer case, cause V6 is different to straight six.
Rover V8 is still lighter than earlier Holden V6
