Rover v8 carbs

Postby mike » Mon Jun 13, 2005 10:38 pm

I maybe able to get my hands on a cheap rover v8 but with the twin carbs. How much trouble are carbs on the hills? or is fuel injection a definite must have? how easy is it to convert to fuel injection? This will be going into a tough truck.

 you can set them up and believe it or not you can get them running good ,you want to dich the restrictor in the intake manifold if it has one ,they are prone to stick and produce a big flat spot

We've been running a carbie Rover V8 in the Nationals this year with no probs. It has had the strombergs chucked out & SU's fitted - no probs on the hills so far 8) - but there's always a first time
