Hey guys,
I've done much searching (more so for photos) on these body swaps, but want to check that the extra cab will fit into the shorter wheelbase, coil rear, surf chassis. No doubt will have to move at least one pair of mounts but the front ones should all line up? And this should put the rear of the cab at about where the surfs rear wheel arch starts on the rear doors?
Thinking I'll either do this and build a flat deck… or buy a landcruiser

Sounds like the goods but… Tricky was it?
Tight to the rear wheel? This isn't a surf chassis or a flat deck but maybe slight mod to the back of the body to create some more room..

Should bolt straight on just read a thread 3rd gen hilux xcab on 1st gen 4runner frame they seem to do 1 inch body lift and cut back of cab a bit but bigger lift you dont need to cut it they prob running big rubber would be pretty close though and if your wanting a flat deck you would want rear axle further back so could mount longer links move axle back 12" move panhard spring shock mounts to suit
and run dc hilux driveshaft.
surf 4runner chassis wheel base 103"ish
dc/xc chassis wheel base 113"ish

yes, the xtra cab will bolt to the 130 chassi , mates in the procces of doing it.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

I'm running a 1kz with manual pump, intercooler exhaust etc, it's plenty powerful, with headroom for more (hardly ever see an egt over 550 pre turbo), so the only reason I'd move onto a cruiser chassis is to have the 6 cylinder under the hood.

Sweet, any chance of some pics when it's done?
Would try keep chassis stock for now, not chasing massive articulation…yet, just something more versatile.

So does this mean you can put 130 body onto extra cab chassis as well?

HOLY thread dredge batman.
no, ute tray/ deck mounts are not the same as the surf chassi

Lol so it is I didn't notice that! I'm sure I've read on hear about using an extra cab chassis under a 130 but asked on here before and got the same answer. Then read above that extra cab fits on surf chassis but I guess that's different because the cab will stop short of the rear wheels
