check over it festidiously for rust from front to back, jack up the front and check the king pins etc for play, apart from that of it runs and drives it should be ok, dont make them like that any more

If ride quality, a good amount of power and predictable, safe handling at speed are priorities in a daily driver, I do not think it would be a particularly good choice.

Others will disagree, but there is no getting around the fact that unsprung mass severely affects ride quality and handling, and the stiff leaf springs are more akin to a horse-drawn cart from the 1800s, than a modern automobile.

not to mention with the 2.4 engine a horse might be quicker !
