Pete it isn't an L300, It has a solid front diff with leaf springs in the front.
Although I thought the same at first too though.

Its a toyota hiace, look at the way the glass on the front door slopes down at the front thats a toyota thing the mitzi's did a step down thing or level
You can get 4wd Hiace vans, I know logging crews that use them but I always thought they were an AWD not center diff locked and don't have solid axle fronts
That said it wouldn't be any different than any of the SAS jobs on here, finding a short 4wd trans could be interesting as being a bus I imagine the last thing it would want is a trans tunnel taking up passanger foot room
shame the pic wasn't good enough to read the company web address on the front

Re: one off toyotas
Front solid axle looks like it might be off a Jeep or something other than Toyota/Nissan because the diff is offset to the left, rather than the right.

Correct, it drove past school in Papanui, kitted out with as many seats as they could fit

Re: one off toyotas
We have a AWD hiace at work but they did also come out as a part time with hi/low box, so it could be one of those that's had a live beam thrown at it
