LN167 Hilux Side Steps/Sliders

Postby mudslug » Mon Sep 04, 2017 1:54 pm

Hi all,

Has anyone fitted or made side steps for a ln167 hilux? Looking at making some but in terms of fixing to chassis the way to do it is a U bracket, the body is quite close to the chassis at the top and the brake lines run down the inside on the drivers side. Is there a way around these problems?

Thanks
Cam

Unbolt the brake line mounts and use a longer bolt and a spacer to hold the pipes away from the chassis , if they bolt on where you want the bracket to go, then weld a nut to the bracket and refit the brake line mounts afterwards. Well that is how I did mine on my Prado
