Steering wheel

Postby JFH » Wed Dec 18, 2013 10:59 am

Has anyone replaced a steering wheel on a 95 escudo?? Is it as simple as unbolting it and bolting a new one on????

Yes as long as there is no airbags. Single central nut on a splined taper, might need a bit of yanking to get the wheel off the taper. Get a boss kit that suits and fit it along with the wheel.

Yes i have An it is as simple as you say.. From memory there is one biggish nut holding the wheel to the steering column..
Just be careful not to yank the steering wheel off with out checking for the horn wire's.

P.s This is a non airbag wheel i did..

Leave the center nut on by a few threads so you don't smack yourself in the face with the wheel.
