Lockright or Spartan into Vitara Question for Suzuki Experts

Hi,
Wanting to to know if the Lockright 1510 or Spartan SL SUZSAM will fit into the rear of a Vitara.
And if not then what would.

I have a lock right 1510 in the back of my 02 Grand Vitara. Can't tell you how similar the Vitara diff is.

I have a early vitara rear diff head in the shed at the moment half pulled apart to install a 1510 lockrite , using it as an alignment guide at the moment but once the housing is welded together the locker will go in . Looks like it should go together just fine . The vitara cross pins need to be used as they are roll pinned in place .

Be careful with the V6 diff, I had to repair one because the side gears were slightly higher and a different design so caused the locker to bind. Check the clearances on the washers. I've fitted one to a GV and a early 10 bolt vitara rear without any issues.

Think possum has a Spartan locker for a vitara she wants to sell shes gone to cruiser diffs

Iv'e fitted a Spartan in the rear diff of a 1600 Vitara an know my mate fitted one in his V6 as well but from memory the V6 had a 1600 diff head with the lower gearing.. However Iv'e had a lockrite 1510 in my truck now for around a year an a half an it has not missed a beat, one of the best mods yet !!!
