Vitara - heater fan stopped

Postby Apm83 » Thu Apr 02, 2015 8:47 am

Just hoping to pick the minds of some wiser than me - this morning the heater fan stopped blowing in the old girl - 1995 Vitara..... checked the fuse, but not that.
Not real useful with the roar coming up and me wanting to disappear into the muddy bush :(

Do they have some form of replaceable resistor - where should I be looking next?

cheers in advance.

They have a resistor pack down by fan unit (behind glovebox) it is about $50 for new resistor pack or could be switch mine has stopped working on 1 and 2 you can replace that or buy a dc motor speed control find a place to mount and re run wiring they are $25 +shipping http://www.surplustronics.co.nz/products/6177-dc-motor-speed-control-controller-governor-12v-30v-
If you don't succeed. Try again with "more revs".
