Sump leak g16b

Postby massivenuts » Mon Nov 21, 2016 12:53 pm

Has anyone changed the oil sump gasket on a g16b without pulling the engine? Looks it should come out by dropping the diff out the way?
cheers

Yes I have now done it twice drop the diff then undo all the sump bolts turn steering one way to get drag link out the way and fight and move in a way where you can get it around the drag link.
If you don't succeed. Try again with "more revs".

Did you drop the pick up at the same time? I have it off but it looks like it's gonna be an ass to get back around the pickup and in without disturbing the RTV bead?

I got it in there and it hasn't leaked overnight. every other person online has said the cork gaskets are shit, has it sorted your leak?
