Seems there's lots of bits out of India as they still make the stockman.

Found the 410 ratio countershaft and output gear but only a 29 tooth input gear? Think the original one was 31? Or close. But may be same dia with less toothcount?

Looks like under 400 all up for 4.16 gears + welding

It's not the welding that's expensive , it's the machining of the hardened gears , they normally go through at least 3 cutting heads in the process which brings the cost up a lot . For a shop to do it for you at least $300 .

I found the 4.16 gears were still I bit high for my liking and that I wanted lower gears , so opted for a 4.9 case second time around . Worked out only marginally more expensive for the 4.9 gears compared to sourcing a good doner 410 and 413 case , plus the cos of rebuild , machining welding etc .

Sorry wasn't too clear on the question. Found new 410 & 413 counter gear plus Outputs ex India. They also list a 29 tooth input with/ without shaft all related to the gypsy/ stockman they still make, was just hunting info for the 29t input.

Looking at putting an sj back on the rd and the 30" s suck. Have some used ceramics for roughing and a tame cert welder
