Hey guys,
Coming from a 70 series Landcruiser where you are able to grease the swivel hubs by removing a bolt and filling with a grease gun. I can't see anything like this on my new-ish Y60 Safari?
Can it be done or does the whole thing need to be pulled apart?
Maybe remove a bolt and fill with grease or even retrofit a grease nipple?
Cheers

Remove the wipers and apply grease then refit wipers again.
Imho Its a design cockup from nissan
If you are going to drill and tap then you will need to remove the complete hub

Remove one of the kingpin bolts - grease-gun fits nicely in the threaded hole. It takes a full tube of grease to fill the hub...

4 bolts holding a flat plate top & bottom of the swivel hub. The top ones include the steering ball-joints. I usually remove one of the bottom ones so any water can drain, although if your inner axle seal is leaking then be prepared for a fair bit of mushy mix of gear oil & grease to land on the driveway. The bottom ones are also easier to access without brake lines & steering joints in the way...

Yep got them last night Much appreciated! I'll fit them once my new shocks arrive which should hopefully be today, which means I'll get them tomorrow since the courier will be scared of the dog

The king pin plates can easily be drilled an tapped for a small grease nipples
like this:
there are plastic seals under the king pins that i drilled 4 small holes in to let the excess grease into the swivel hub

From memory if its never had the kingpin bearings replaced the above wont work.....they have a blanking plate from factory you have to remove these to replace outer bearing once gone then the above works

Yes that's what I was talking about, I put mine back in to keep the grease in the kingpin bearings but drilled 4 small holes in them to let some grease into the swivel hub
