Just make sure you ran a transformer to the dissy. An old setup that i bought had the dissy running off one battery. It killed the battery in approx 1 month and ended up replacing booth batteries after around 4 months. Once i installed the boltage inverter just to ran the dissy it was awesome started good and battery voltage between them was equal

You can buy 24volt distributors for these engines through summit racing in the states but pricey.

But yes ballast resistors should do the trick.

Which 350 are you fitting? I've got an adapter kit to a td42 manual and starter which may fit out of the one I parted out last year if your interested.

We ran a sparkshop even charger to take care of the computer and starter. Kept everything else 24v. Still have that to sell too

Unless you are spending big coin on the old small block chev, I think you will be disappointed with the power in a big heavy whale like a Safari. A grand or two on the TD42 and you could have a bit of a weapon. A similar amount of cash will go into a V8 swap and it will probably sound cool but use twice the fuel and have half the torque.

yeah would use twice the fuel easily :D but wouldn't have 1/2 the torque 300 Nm isn't hard to beat

try and go for a later tbi or even later tpi injected engine complete with ecu they are around and often not that dear if you keep your eyes open and wait for a bargin :D

True. But a good ls engine will still fetch atleast 5 grand with the nats and ignition. On the other hand a spirit bellhousing and a rebuilt rb30det with cert will give more performance then an old 350 but once again they are getting rare too. May pay to look at a vh41 or 45 or just chuck more money at the td42 to get it lifting wheels off the intersection.
