I've got a 07 stx navara double cab wellside.
Rolled steel unit over open tail gate into the tray yesterday.
It probably weighed 200kg.
I squashed the tail gate hinges, bent the tailgate. now ya close it like an old hilux (brute force).

I stood back and laughed at how pathetic it is.
Anyone else done this?

Said this too a guy who keeps going offroad in his new lux when he complain about the electrics failing after a few mud puddles...

What makes ya think they build tjem like they used too, theres a reason some 20 year old trucks still fetch up to two thirds the value of a newer one.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

i think there is a weight limit for the tail gate listed and its not much.
there is a reason we use flat decks.

Yea i hear what your saying about weight limit.
At that rate a couple of adverage blokes can't sit on a tail gate without overloading it! what a heap
