Safari Manual Conversion

Postby tuckertrucker » Wed Oct 11, 2017 6:51 pm

Hi ORE

I'm after a manual conversion for my safari. Need pretty much everything, but looking at keeping my transfer case as I know its condition. Whats out there in terms of the rest of the stuff. Happy to buy bits and pieces along the way so I can clean things up and get everything ready to do the change . Also helps keep the costs down if I spend the money over a while too. But dont mind if the whole thing comes up at a good price. Im in kerikeri but dont mind a decent drive if parts show up at the right price.

If you have the parts, or know of anyone who has them, give me a message. Looking for gearbox, bell housing, flywheel, clutch, pedal box, slave master cylinder and lines, gear shifter etc.

Don't mind if small bits are missing like trim or bash plates. Any one know anyone please PM me and I can get numbers out etc.

Cheers, Dylan.

Got a trans from a guy in Parakai for 750. Will go nicely. Had the flywheel machined at truweld and it came up well and got the hydraulic lines and booster and pedal in too.

For those who've done it before, is the pain in the ass top bolt absolutely necessary to get in? Ive torqued up the four bolts on the firewall and shes solid in there.

Cheers
