Terrano Front Radius Arm Bushes

Postby Allan » Fri May 13, 2005 9:08 pm

Just did the Radius Arm Bushes on my Terrano, and was shocked at the amount of wear to the compression collar and general decay of the rubber bushes. I replaced with Nolathene bushes for $50 and the ride is sooo much smoother. I would strongly recommend that if you own a Terrano that is more than 10 yrs old that you check your bushes. It only takes about 15 mins to unbolt the Radius arm and slide off the bushes and collar to check their condition. You don't even need to remove the wheels, just turn to full lock and jack up the front. There are two sizes of bushes for the 95. Of course I got the wrong size the first time, so had to go back for the correct ones, Bloody Murphy's law. No doubt it will be the same for all the model years, so measure the arm diameter and length of the collar before you order a replacement. One of those things that are better to do before it gets too bad and starts flogging out the chassis mount.
