Manawatu 4wd family fundraiser

Postby rotordogg » Wed Jul 02, 2014 2:48 pm

4 X 4 Family fundraiser
In conjunction with Manawatu 4WD Club

Who……
Our local Rescue Helicopter is partly funded by large corporations which donate thousands and thousands of dollars each year. Despite this generosity they still rely on us, the general public to fund the vital service they provide.

The Starship Foundation is a social-profit organisation that raises funds so Starship Children's Health can better care for more than 120,000 young patient visits each year. They need to fundraise over $5 million annually to keep giving New Zealand children the best care possible.

Why………
To have fun with your family and raise funds for worthy causes.

What and when……..
On Sunday the 20th of July 2014 an all day 129km on/off road drive will be taking place. All to our selected charities. FREE soft drinks and chips for the kiddies at prize giving. Spot prizes of clothes, mechanical/fuel vouchers and new BBQ more. Entry fees are:$20 per vehicle (includes driver) $8 per passenger (10yrs and over). $1 from your entry fee will make you a financial member of the Manawatu 4WD Club for the day. Pre paying & booking is essential, entries close 14th July 2014. All fees to be deposit prior to closing date. Rain, hail or shine, wheels will turn.

How………
Email expressions of interest to ianbags@hotmail.com, you will be sent a Driver information pack. To confirm your spot, deposit your entry fees (vehicle + any passengers) and email Ian Bagley. You will be assigned an entry number via email. All Payments must be made by the 14th July

Prize giving venue and sponsor: THE Waterford Café & Bar

Will be easy going scenic drive along top of ranges under wind turbines and then up to a doc hut, mostly gravel roads easy enough to do with AT's.
trip is aimed at family's who own a 4wd but don't use it offroad and also people wanting to take a easy drive with some awsome views! (Weather permitting)

Info packs available from Ian's email address above.

Thanks for your interest.
Dogg.

thanks to all the members of the Manawatu 4WD club, who ran a well organized day today.
The group I was in had a hilux double cab on 33s, a newish Jeep(wrangler style-not cherakee), a 1997 Land Rover station Wagon TD300(well done Toby/wife for coming all the way from Tauranga!) A vz?n130 Surf, a rzn185 Surf (with Eaton true trac LSD), a tidy SWB 70 series Land Cruiser with bar work(and a photographer!), A KZN130 Surf with lift/big wheels etc, and a 90 series Prado with snorkel.
