Clutch replacement

Postby FORGE1 » Wed Oct 13, 2010 5:43 pm

Well after non use of the bighorn and 4 wheeling a couple of weeks ago the new clutch I was told I got with the truck when I got it is now slipping and boy does it stink when it does.

Looking at a upgrade but have been told they dont make a heavy duty for the 6VD1 (3.2 V6) I dont see the point of a standard clutch if you have a toy.

Does anyone know if there is a heavy duty clutch kit to buy?

Cheers
Ray

I got mine from BNT and its been great - I can't remember what it cost but it has been well worth it.
I've got an '89 Bighorn
There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.

I managed to get one through Lamberts (Whangarei) they advised that its not a comon one for the V6 but its a exceedy Tuff H/D and so far its done the job but only done a couple of hundred kms on it.
