Postby aussie_matt » Wed Jul 27, 2011 10:52 am

g'day all
i hame a clunking noise in front end of my 92 bighorn
i think it is coming from the auto hub (sounds bit like a cog jumping a few teeth) when 4wd is engaged
anyone got any idea's on whats it is / what to look for / solution to problem ?

Hi There,

Seeing as they are Auto hubs I would get rid of them straight away as they are prone to give out at when least expected. If you do replace the hubs and it is still making a noise then it could be several other things to look out for like C.V's or the front diff.

Firstly have a look at the hubs.

Cheers.
