Nahh the GQ Patrol was never sold in the US in any guise. The only patrol available there was the G60 in the 1970s. The Nissan ARMADA/Infiniti QX56 which shares its platform with the current new Patrol is the only thing that comes close.

The SD33t was used under license in the International Scout. They also could have used the VG turbo engines which were smog legal in the 300ZX. Or even the L28 Z-car engine. Or even the LD28 which was available in the US Maxima in the early 80s. Anyhow the td42 would have passed emissions too, they dont really care about diesel emissions over there.

Hate to sound like a righteous dick but I'm afraid it's not and never was.
I searched high and low and did a lot of research on this when I was living there.

The ford maverick in the states is an actual car, the patrol was sold under license as a Ford but not in america as nissan already had it's foot in the door there with the terrano/pathfinder and navara.
It wanted a slice of the aussie market to compete against toyota cruiser/mitsi pajero/isuzu trooper, R/R etc but due to commercial/economic/political reasons of the day couldn't at the time...then ford needed a 4x4 suv for the aussie market to compete for market share etc so nissan was only too eager to oblige.

You won't need to register anywhere (if you do you've clicked the wrong button!) but kickass is a torrent site so you'll need a torrent download program firstly. Something like Vuze but there are others. So download and install Vuze.

Once you've downloaded the torrent file from kickass open it using the Vuze program and then it will download the file(s).

It's bit bit hard to explain but hope that's understandable!

Good to see team Rover back in the game in the red NAS late IIA.

And I love his casual approach to everything. Pipe hanging out the mouth and some amusing casual commentary before descending that massive drop off in the second episode.

'Starship Rover One... bout ready to take off'

They don't seem to last long on youtube. The History channel links that stay up on youtube are blocked for nz unless you run a vpn blocker or proxy.
You catch a glimpse of one of their following trucks at 12:50. Looks almost like a bog truck. 4 runner on swampers, way bigger than any of the main trucks, makes the cruiser look tiny
