I like the one with the hardtop better

Nah, its looking good. I have just come across an idea about trimming the fender flares to give them a bit more flat look. But need to finish all the other existing projects first.

The kit was already on it when i bought it. the previous owner tried to sell it up saying it cost 15k..... but he was full of it. Guesstimating about top end at 5k if you imported it. Its a procomp lift, but theres rubicon express, ome, rough country, terrain tamer.... hell, too many options to list as far as vendors go. jump on trademe and look for "Justjeep" as a seller, and see what he can do for you, he regularly imports gear from the us for the TJ's

My wifes one has got the OME/rancho 2 inch lift. thats simply a coil and shock change. Mine also includes trailing arms, adjustable pannards etc... all extra $$$$

Were you in a green wagon with the beige soft top on a friday night two weeks ago?

Great catching up with you this morning. The sheet is thicker than what I was expecting, so it might actually be used as armour plating, just need to figure out ways to maximise its use. Things to work out next weekend (Easter). I have more pressing things to worry about (like leaking axle seal)!!!

If I can buy some time, I would import a Superior Axle kit that has strengthened axles and new bearings, seals, etc.. Its about USD 300 plus freight.

Mmy wife would bust a foo foo if i went and even thought about getting anything else for mine mate. Let me know how you get on with the plate. I should be able to get some more lighter guage stuff for ya if need be.

Mine would too, but then I only replace factory parts when they break. Its just that the replacement part has to be stronger than the factory or it will break again (thats my logic with her, and it seems to be working in my favour so far)....

This is what I am talking about:

Regarding the sheets, I will spend a bit more time on my ultimate design and pick your brain next Saturday (hopefully).

Hey, leave the Jeeps alone!!!!

It is a good idea. Start a new thread and make it a sticky. It would be good to see where people started from and what they look like now.
