1944 Willys

Postby norsk » Sun Jun 07, 2015 8:56 pm

Recently I bought this jeep.Originally I just went along to have a look at it,ended up taking it home.

Its a 1944 Willys that was given to Norway under the Marshal aid plan.It came with a summer canvas top and a winter canvas top with canvas doors.

The Jeep runs very well, the engine was rebuilt in 1982 and its only covered 8000miles since then.

As you can imagine its a pretty Basic wagon. The welds all over it are horrendous but have managed to hold the thing together for 70 odd years.

Its alot of fun hooning around with the windscreen folded down.

Lucky bugger, I am green with envy right now!
