Mine doesn't make that sound. I presume you are talking about driving on sealed roads/hard surface. Does it make the same sounds doing tight turns on grass - need to see whether it is the drive train binding, or suspension bushes worn.

Cheers

Its a Jeep thing - we don't understand.

well maybe i do

We have a hiace that makes quite an alarming clunking sound on full lock. First heard it when we test drove it in 1998 - but did find an explanation (can't remember it but it was a non issue) still does it 9 years later - had no issues. Only does it on full lock and particularly when you hit a bump.
Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.

If its a clunking sound, check your control arm and sway bar bushes. Otherwise re-torque all your suspension bolts to proper settings.

Long shot, but check your front axle u-joints (not the driveshaft u-joints). Its long shot because that would only make a sound in the front.

gidday check your panhard rod mount bolts, they get loose and make a huge noise.look at the bolts and see if there are any little rusty oval marks where the bolts are shifting dude

You may also want to check your front UJ's as these can make some interesting noises if they are worn.
