nobody knows really
electrical gremlins as it came in the gate, lost power
so removed vehicle off trailer and drove last 200m unloaded
went to look under bonnet, couldn't touch bonnet as it was too hot
stood back to survey situation and it burst into flames
3 extinguishers, lots of water and foam from fire brigade, but it kept on burning

It's fairly common I believe. Had one catch fire in the carpark outside work. Kept lighting up again as soon as you put it out. It shorted the starter cable, which runs around behind the engine to the starter. The whole thing was glowing bright orange and lighting up everything on the firewall. Got My workmate to hold the extinguisher on it while I ran in and found a spanner to rip the battery lead off. There's no way you could have stopped it with those little extinguishers in the photo....
