But... I got new shoes yesterday...
Ended up going with the Siverstones @ 33"



Now to figure out how to fit the spare... before i get a tire carrier next year.

well i managed to make up a bracket for floor shifter auto gearbox, to a colum shift on my brothers xe falcon.

booked in for its warrent on monday, so gota fix up a small patch of rust before then.

it will be good practise for when i take on my rat rod properly.

also lit the fire cause damm its cold down this end today, and the rain is odd, really heavy, then overcast, then really heavy again

Nah you couldnt get in the thing it was chocka full of germans there was so many I couldnt even count them, everytime I turned around there was more and more of them pouring out the door no wonder it was so bloody heavy to pull out

Pulled quite a few off the beach the past month and after all the offers of cash and boxes of piss and pauas and shit I've seen nothing except for the carload of young drugie kids smoking drugs and drinking piss down on the beach that knocked on my door at midnight last week to pull them out and they tried shoving a handfull of cash and a box of woodies in my hands after I'd pulled them out... I told them to keep it, of all the people I've pulled out lately they were the only ones that had the decency to demonstrate proper etiquite

Decided to adjust the toe in on the Playdoh...
Feck couldn't twist the relay rod.....Tie rods well and truly seized.
Yesterday pulled the relay rod out and over to the neighbours to use his big vice. Couldn't budge those tie rods....
Made up some tooling and got a length of pipe.....
Almost tipped over the bench
But got the little buggars in the end...
So today its setup the toe in day.....Ready for our clubs Xmas party run....
Oh and put heaps of never seize on the threads.

went up woodhill on safety patrol today,had to break out the spade and do a little track maintenance after the heavy rain during the week,only took half an hour or so and i still managed to get a sweat on ended up being a really nice day up there even got one slightly sunburnt arm was with 2 other safari's on 35s hit a few of the harder tracks and even did a few i didnt even know about sunny day,plenty of mud,minimal dents=bloody good day

Got into an argument with a spring loaded Willow branch

went out to ngongotaha up the quad trcks on sat, got to test out if my back wheels would rub after i had trimmed back my rear guards. couldn't hear a thing from the tyres, so... sucess!

Then today went to lake rerewhakaaitu to play round there to discover, lake had risen too much to go round south east side, drove round to the west side of the lake and had overgrown too much, had to abort mission so just played in the lake for a bit, see how deep a petrol patrol could go then head off home. good recce in the near future, could be a really good muddy run.

Went up to waipara gorge was stunning up there , beautiful scenery.

went a BBq on fri night, ending up cooking, turned out bloody awesome with wicked spare ribs amongst other great meats, trouble was we didnt eat till 10pm and topped it off with pavlova at 11pm , was home by midnight full to the brim

worked saturday morning, then out to go karts for my birthday and then off to 4x4 club xmas BBQ which turned out to be more of a 40th birthday for me with some suprise guests I had no idea were turning up

finally got a bit of a sleep in this morning before doing a few small jobs around the house and re-tightened my partners wheel bearings before the trek up country next weekend

Having found my round tuit I replaced the axle side Panhard rod bushes on the front of my -71 Prado this arvo. Old ones had about 5mm slop! Used Lurathane bushes from Autolign. I hope these last. We will see!
Anyone had any experience of these?

Being suspicious of the insurance job that was done on my front end a year ago, having had various bits fall off like shock bolts and wheel bearings coming very loose, I thought I would run a spanner around a few other bits.

LH four nuts on the steering arm were very loose! Also the studs underneath these.
I tightened these nuts up, and went around the other two arms as well.
Do the studs have to be fully tightened into their tapped holes before tightening the nuts? I know these do a lot of work, even on my wee 31s.

Afterwards went for a blast to a BBQ on my 1930 600cc two-stroke water-cooled twin cyl Scott 'motorsicle'. Ah great to crank the throttle.
Fun coming home just now with moths in the teeth and one 6v light, albeit converted to a QH.

i'd stay away from urathane bushes for 4wd's they wear out real fast,stick with rubber they flex better and last longer,i'v tried urathane and they only lasted around 6months
