Guy rang me up yesterday, "Do you have a rear passengers window for an SJ", "Yeah come and get it". Comes round, sees my Samurai, "how much for the lift kit?", so had to pull that out yesterday while he waited, his missus wasn't too impressed.

not going to do much this weekend.
but during the week i did get roped into helping put a floor in a truck. then got asked to replace the radio. removed the overhead and dash, took one look at the rough wiring, ripped it all out and rewired it all. unfortunately its 12v radio on 24v so did the dirty and ran it off one battery. tho found a relay and wired it up so the radio turns on/off with the key.

Finally installed adventurer shocks in the front. Got frustrated with the top nut not loosening so attacked it with the grinder which made short work of it. Tomorrow we'll throw the rear shocks and springs on and who knows, perhaps even the new snorkel (thanks Caleb).

Last couple of days ive been servicing the terrano, did front and rear diff oils, both drive belts (has no A/C) and put a new clutch master cylinder in as the old one was leaking all over the carpet  Next on the list is find me a spare wheel to put a second hand tyre i bought which is the same as i already have on the truck, and find a spare wheel carrier to mount it on

had to replace 4x front ball joints. CV boots, rear drum brake shoes, bleed brakes etc etc

so far I have done the fronts. and have decided that unlike my old dinky wee honda race cars that you needed a 10mm/12mm/17mm and a feather weight hammer to do anything.... these bloody trucks like to kick back!!!!!
already broken one hammer to drop a ball joint.... FFFUUUUUUUUU

Like they say, if all else fails, use a bigger hammer, if that fails you have an electical problem

no no no, before you resort to an eletrical problem, you must first try fix it with cable ties and duct tape...... if eithe of those, or the larger hammer does not fix it, THEN its an electrical issue

Took off standard side steps, mounted fron recovery hooks and undersealed the Terrano ( was on Thursday/Friday) Went out to Purangi for the trail ride today, on the way home a teenager on a quad came out of a side road without looking, he missed the truck by a cigarete paper but hit the mudguard/bearing buddy on the trailer. Luckly he wasnt hurt as it could have easly gone the other way.

Just need to panelbeat the mudguard and buy a new bearing buddy, and he needs to change his undies!
