Always seem to work on other peoples trucks not my own project

Re: 6-8 feb
did you get the 2.8 diesel running properly, or was it just tired?
Re: 6-8 feb
Was never not running properly.
Just pushing a bit of oil into catch can.
Otherwise started effortlessly, no smoke, hummed all day long
Edit: initially it was sluggish but intake clean and fuel tweak fixed that

Got a phone call from a mate to go and have a play in the river and lake......He bought his 6.5 litre V8 Diesel Blazer .. Another friend with his Jeep turned up also.
Had a blast getting stuck and recovering each other
Soo much better than being at work

Did a couple of trips this weekend, went over the nevis road and did the trip to macetown from arrowtown. Both good trips, macetown was a bit of fun couple of good water crossings and steepish climbs, nothing too extreme though. Time to ramp it up next time

at first glance y'd think it was a terrano with steering like that
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.
Re: 6-8 feb
The Isuzu steering is pretty weak! Bent it a couple of weeks ago.

Mate you came out a little worse off than me and my Terrano
Had just (Saturday) finished rebuilding the entire steering minus the control arm bushes. Upper and lower ball joints both sides all new tierods new center link new idler and bushes and idler brace. The front took a huge hit when I came over a ridge with a sudden one or two foot drop and i was full pedal. Can imagine the two front wheels were toeing in so much they were probably hi-fiving each other mid air then when they hit the ground bent the idler arm and the idler brace. surprisingly no tie rods were bent. alignment was still okay to drive on.
