Replaced the power steer high pressure line which was a lot harder than it needed to be and did some work on my front bar to incorporate some winch rope hoops. Also made a handbrake chock on a piece of rope. Isuzu handbrakes are terrible.

haha this reminds of the episode of top gear in africa trying to find the source of the nile river. Clarkson had a log he rolled back onto, which evidently ended up smashing his back window! hahaha

Had a good weekend pit-crewing for Dan as he won class 6 at the Woodhill 100 (100 what? it's 250ish km?) Due to Dan's excellent vehicle preparation & driving about all the pit crew got to do apart from watch & drink beer was to give 627's windows a clean & pump in a bit of fuel after qualifying :D

Cheers
Clint

Nah - the super steerer award went to my prado, bent the drag link so much it could only turn one way, rod got hung up in suspension trying to turn other side. Pulled it out straightish with winch, go 100m hit more ruts/logs/rocks bent again, straightened again, bit further, bent again. 3rd time lucky it held till we got back to camp and could take it off and bash it a bit straighter for drive back home.
Looking for some seamless tube 25mm ID to sleeve it with if anyone in ChCh has some.

I used some chrome moly tube... The local supplier here in Auck had some with the perfect ID.... Just slip it over and retain it between the clamps for the original rod.
