northland newbie

Postby miked21newbie » Sun May 31, 2015 10:40 pm

hi im mike, new to the forum and 4wding, been riding dirtbikes for years so im no stranger to mud and adventuring, we just scored a d21 pathfinder off my olds with the epic powerhouse Z24 engine

it already has a 2 inch suspension lift and i put 15 x 8's -27 on her......

plans are engine swap td27 and some decent 31's for now, until it snowballs into something else haha, we went for a nosey out dargaville ways (westcoast northland) for our 1st adventure and quiclky realised a 4 cylinder petrol on street tyres aint the best combo, still had a heap of laughs and managed to not get stuck.

pretty keen to meet some others to get out with so if ya from whangarei or northland gis a yell cheers

led? not sure what ya mean?

re-read that.....guessing you meant "lsd" and yep, was the first thing i checked....... works fine. one of the auto hub lockers was playing up so i pulled it apart and figured it was jammed in freewheeling, sorted it and managed to get 4wd engaging again.

I meant LSD not LED .I typed LSD but the auto correct got to it.
The rear of the diff casing will have a orange LSD sticker on it if it came factory equipped with a LSD, though this sticker was completely covered by road grime on my mistral.
