Names lachlan . I weld polyethylene pipe all day . So if u want some off cuts just ask .
Needed something to put some bikes on and a bit of exploring .
Seen this ln106 pop up down in cromwell . Ready had a 5l and and turbo and cert . Was mainly used as a pilot vehicle hence the ugly bits im going to cut off on tbe roll bar .
Its got new springs of some description . Fresh lsd in the rear .
Came with 2 spare 31 goodride mudders .
Needs swivel seals but ohwell . It goes hard and drives good .
First plan is a front mount intercooler in the grill . Can fit a 500 x 230 x 50 core in there . Nice tube n fin one . None of this bar n plate boat anchor shit .
The turbo is a water cooled ct20 . It goes far harder than I thought it would . I have a modern td04 and a td05 off a subaru in the shed so ill fit these and see which I like best .
When im doing swivels ill prolly shim the lsd and put it in the front . Get a lockright for the back . Get another 2 goodrides gor not much over 300 and itll be mint .
Has a shitty headunit that needs the biff . Tacho foesnt work so ill fix that . And ultimately I want a flatdeck so if anyone wants to swap . This deck is real tidy

Bugga ya I was gong to buy that haha didn't really need it though. You got a bloody good deal. Would have been cheap if it was a 2.8 but with the certed 5l turbo you did well. Good stuff.

Has it has the fuel pump done? Any idea what boost and egts are?

Yea im well aware it was a deal ha ha .
Can u elaborate on "done " in regards to the pump . He said hed wound it up a bit . It blows no snoke at all . Doesnt have a compensateor .
I talked to someone whod know and he rekoned its not worth fitting a compensateor . Rekond all it does it prevent some smoking when you lift off after having your boot up it .
Im still planning on fitting one when I fit a bigger turbo .
No idea on egts . Boost cant be much either . Stock ct20 actuator not wound uo very tight .
Filled it at cromwell and did 100 kph on the gps all the way back to chch 436 km and the fuel gauge had just cracked into the last quarter

the 8" inch rear LSD might not fit up front , if it has the 7.5" IFS front. Or is a straight axle?
Good to get a tidy one, some/many of these are starting to have rust issues in door gutters etc.

Hi Lachlan,
Truck sounds good,
When you do your axle seals and knuckle wipers and lockright can help there.
See http://www.4wdstuff.co.nz/catalog/lockers
and for your knuckle wipers these are good http://www.4wdstuff.co.nz/knuckles-hubs ... iper-seals

Cheers
Tim

And is anyone aware of a drop in foam or uni filter style filter for the air box in the photo ? Ive got a fleet of dirt bikes so id like a foam filter to service with them

Finished intercooler . Pretty happy with it .
Got a boost gauge on it . Runs 10 psi at the actuator hose . Prolly gunna fit a bigger turbo . It already has a fresh water cooled ct20 but it literally runs about 7 psi at 100 and zero throttle it still has 5 psi untill I get to below 60 kph . Was gunna put a tdo4 ive got on it from a 01 wrx . They are quite nice and support about 200hp . I dont think its much bigger than the ct20 tho . Ive got a td05 16g off a early wrx in the shed also

Also put on a bar I got for free and tidied up the turbo water lines

Since then it's had some 33s . Redid all the turbo hoses coz they were shit .
Underseat sub . Coz need tunes .
And tonight bolted on an alloy winch bar I got for 400

StI'll planning to do x over steering . Lsd spacers . Swivel seals . Front shocks to match 50 mm lift springs . Might move front axle forward on leafs .
Goes good .
Uses less than 11 l per 100k on the open road with dirt bikes up in the breeze . Pulls 3rd gear up porters with a empty car trailer behind it and doesn't get hot
Anyone want that black bull bar for a farm hack etc ?
Cheers
