you tightened the feed clamp down between the roll and the outfeed? Is the copper tip clear and not blocked?

Pull weld wire out of cable/liner and blow back liner with compressed air, sme time crp build up in liner and jams, although your description sound more like wire feed motor stops

if you loosen the feed clamp and pull the trigger does the feed roller turn ?
There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.

Have a look at the gears that take the drive from the feed motor to the feed roller, i bet they are nylon and slipping under load :D

well took the gears apart as dieselboy said it is slipping under load as you can see in the pic one of the gears has not as many teeth as the others, does anyone know why this is? and does anyone know how i can stop the gears from slipping?

I would say get some metal replacements made but I dont know if the nylon acts to insulate the motor etc from the bad leccky stuff in the welding wire. I doubt it would be cheap either.

yep they are broken off and they are sitting at the bottom of the gear assembly. i will try contacting the place i got the welder from and see if i can get some spare parts from there.
