Winch only runs one way

Postby Dannz71 » Fri Jul 11, 2014 3:42 pm

Winch was only running one way and wouldn't wind in the cable. Only powers outwards, so I've whipped the motor off and hooked it up to the solenoid block on the bench to make sure it wasn't the gearbox binding or anything stupid. Is it more likely to be the motor or solenoid

Do I just swap f1 and f2?

Yes if you swap f1 and f2 on the motor it should reverse its direction in relation to the way the switch is operated. If you have a bung solenoid it will reverse the direction in which it does not operate.

Might also pay to check the contacts where you plug the remote in. Had this happen to me once.
