Electric vacuum pump

Postby mudtroll » Tue Dec 01, 2015 11:27 am

Anybody know about these? Looking to replace my alternator on a Safari (so 24 volt) with an aftermarket one but still need to generate vacuum. Looking at a couple of ideas, was wondering where to buy.
Would an electric pump provide enough vacuum?
Cheers

The guys and gals who convert cars to electric will often use an electric vac pump for the brakes.
Look up a few EV sites, I think there is one in NZ....

Wanting to take vacuum pump off alternator completely, makes it a lot easier to change, no oil lines etc. The nissan alternators are crap, blown heaps of them looking to put a higher output after market one on.
