Hey guys,
I've been reading through the regulations on the NZTA website around vehicle lights but I didn't find it that clear.
What I'm wanting to do is mount 2 square LED lights on the rear of my hilux, mostly for when I'm hooking a trailer on or sorting out gear in and out of the canopy.
I don't want to connect them to my reverse lights exclusively (but the ability would be good, however I think I read that you are only allowed 2 reverse lights so that would rule that idea out). Instead I'd like to do the same as I have with my spotlights on the front with a 3 way switch. One way is on any time, middle is off, and 3rd position for on with reverse lights.
Does anyone know if this is allowed?
I'm also going to put some sort of lighting inside the canopy, so I guess the other option is to mount them in a way that they shine beyond the deck of the truck.
All advise greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Lighting

Re: Lighting
Have a look here: http://www.lvvta.org.nz/documents/stand ... ipment.pdf
Section 4 is where I'd focus, but do read the rest.

Re: Lighting
they are called "work lamps" mate and they are permitted on most classes of vehicles including whatever you've got, its all detailed on the nzta site if you go back and have a look
