Well thought me old sneakers needed a bit of love'n. Still had plenty of treat depth but edges well gone. So talking with alsorts and googleing lots ended up as a blank so decided nothing to loose. Lots of playing with cad and plenty of paper later got a couple of alloy plate templates made.
Out with a decent router and using a copy collar fitted to the base.
Due to tyre contour the new edge ranges from 12mm to around 7to8mm. All up i reckon ive got one to two years extra out of them now

Considering they are designed for thick sloppy mud they are quite a soft compound. Nice work...better then a redneck tyre groover(chainsaw)
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

I did something similar to my triple blocks, took out every 2nd block on all 3 rows & sharpened up the side biters. Still going 4 years later but 2 have bad air leaks. Only use them for woodhill & maratoto now, running silverstones for farms & comps etc.

Yes i think s.s. are to soft in maratoto. Simys dont get cut up as bad. Havent been into woodholl for several years now. Last time all the holes had snapped off tree roots which loved tyre sidewalls....
